Sometimes when moving into a new location the previous tenant leaves their infrastructure behind. While initially this looks like a potential cost savings, it could cost you greatly in the future. Bad jacks, faulty cabling, loose connections caused during the move may not be apparent at first but when network issues spring up and you start receiving invoices from your IT Vendor, the costs can pile up.
Before taking over existing infrastructure, have Squid Wire certify the network. For a fraction of the cost of new cabling, we check every cable for quality, label both ends and create a blueprint detailing the location of each cable. If repairs are needed, they will be completed at that time, providing you with the peace of mind that your network is ready to run your business without interruption.
Upon completion, you will be provided printed (.PDF) copies of the certification of each and every cable that will provide you with the knowledge that your cabling is not at fault. When your IT vendor is troubleshooting an issue, you can eliminate the cable as a cause and potentially save time and productivity while they focus on identifying the real problem.
Network Certification also plays a valuable role when you are upgrading a software package, installing VoIP, or adding additional equipment. Certification provides you with the level of throughput you can expect, insuring that your infrastructure can support the upgrade.
